Awarded to students who meet a minimum of 3.50 / 4.00 SAP, with no grade lower than a C and enrolled in at least 12 hours of letter-grade credit courses
Recognises excellence in intellectual and leadership qualities among USP students who have fulfilled at least half of the USP first-tier curricular requirements based on meritorious academic performance, active engagement in USP beyond-the-classroom learning, and significant contributions to the USP community.
- Offered to candidates with a strong passion for education and teaching, and participated in developmental programmes to gain a better understanding of Singapore’s public service sector.
- Among 50 recipients selected from freshmen undergraduates based on excellent academic results, strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good National Service performance, and good extracurricular records.
- The scholarship covered undergraduate tuition fees, sponsorship for extracurricular activities, overseas summer school and student exchange, and school hostel reimbursement, as well as a maintenance stipend.
- Scholarship holders are expected to maintain excellent academic and conduct standards and complete a four year service commitment with the Ministry.
